The Bulova Lunar Pilot Black Hole offers a contemporary reinterpretation of one of the Maison’s most iconic chronographs, linked to the 1971 Apollo 15 mission.
The name "Black Hole" alludes to the model's distinctive all-black aesthetic and a story that remained largely hidden within the mission's records for decades.
During the third extravehicular activity of the Apollo 15 mission on August 2, 1971, Commander David Scott used a Bulova chronograph as a backup instrument on the lunar surface.
This special version of the Lunar Pilot introduces a 41mm case for the first time, making it the most compact model in the collection.
The stainless steel case, featuring a black PVD coating and a sandblasted finish, underscores the watch's technical and bold character.
The true highlight, however, is the dial finished with Musou Black paint—a unique coating capable of absorbing 99.4% of light. Inside, it is powered by the NP20 High Precision Quartz caliber, a movement operating at a frequency of 262 kHz with a stated accuracy of approximately 10 seconds per year.
The Bulova Lunar Pilot Black Hole is a limited edition of just 6,000 pieces worldwide.

The presentation has also been specially designed for this edition, featuring dedicated "Black Hole" packaging.
Inside the box, alongside the watch, are a black leather travel case and a unique travel alarm clock inspired by the onboard instruments of the Apollo 15 capsule.
